A White Christmas Tale!
Since the holidays are almost upon us, let me remind you about one of my earlier Once Again novels, Under the Northern Lights. This one is Christmas in Norway. I love it because I used a lot from my trips to Norway where I have lots of family. We did snowmobiling and dog sledding. We saw reindeer. The only thing I missed was the Northern Lights, which I’m still dying to see the way Gina and Blake do in Under the Northern Lights. In the book, they go at Christmas, but I went in April, and it was almost the Midnight Sun. It never really got dark. More like twilight even at 4 in the morning. We started our snowmobile trip at 5 pm, and returned about midnight. It was still light enough to see where we were going. So yes, it might never get truly dark, but there was certainly a lot of snow! Next time, the Northern Lights. Reindeer! Because these guys climb the sides of mountains foraging for food, they have stubbier legs than other breeds of reindeer. It’s adaptation!
Snowmobiling! We rode up to a prepared teepee where we had reindeer stew over an open pit fire. Okay, I know that sounds bad after I showed you pictures of the cute reindeer. But honestly, we had to try everything!
We walked behind this amazing frozen waterfall.
Dog sledding! This was Kurra, a gorgeous husky I felt as if I bonded with.
Sadly, Kurra was not part of our team. But here we are taking off, heading out to the ice caves.
Our lead dogs were Dolly and Tango, in the forefront. They headed a great team for us.

I’m done!!!! The mosaic is grouted. I just have to seal it before the rains come. I started grouting at 3 pm thinking it would only take a couple of hours. Not! I didn’t finish until 7:30 by the light of 4 flashlights!
