I took a trip to London with my sister, visiting family and friends, having a fabulous time touring all the great tourist sites. We stayed at a hotel right next to the Tower of London with a view of Tower Bridge from our balcony. What a great place to be! We arrived in the late afternoon and after unpacking, we strolled along the river and I got some great photos, then we climbed the steps up to Tower Bridge. What views there were! The tallest buildings, the HMS Belfast, the River Thames, the walls of the Tower of London. I just had to have a photo and I reached inside my pocket for my phone… and it was gone. Did I lose it? Was I pickpocketed? We called my number, and it had already been shut off, so who really knows? I have to admit it was kind of a panicky moment because everything was on my phone. Probably just like yours! And it was gone on the first day! Needless to say, I was pretty bummed. To cheer me up, my wonderful sister bought me a champagne cocktail and we drowned my sorrow. And thenI had a brainstorm. I still remember it. I grabbed my sister’s hand and said, “That’s how my hero and heroine meet! He finds her phone!”
So I lost my phone, but I had the cute meet for Love Affair in London! There’s always a silver lining, right?! Oh, and I learned not to just stuff my phone in my pocket, especially when I’m traveling.
