So, Beachcombing in the Bahamas… What I loved about writing this book is that we have Yvette and Brock, a couple who’ve been having a secret affair for months. And yet I still felt their sexual tension. I felt them wanting more and not being able to have it. Brock keeps pushing Yvette, and she keeps resisting. It’s usually the guy doing all the resisting, but not this time. And of course, there’s Adeline, Brock’s mother. And Yvette’s former mother-in-law. She’s the worst kind of narcissist who justifies everything she does. But mostly, I love that it’s Christmas in the Bahamas! Two years ago my husband and I took a Christmas/New Year’s cruise to the Bahamas, and it was fabulous! A lot of the activities Yvette, Brock, and the kids do on their Caribbean island are things my husband and I did. Like zip lining in Santa Domingo and sliding down waterfalls in the Dominican Republic and horseback swim rides in the ocean on Grand Cayman. So many fond memories!

Last week I took a mosaic class where we made mandalas. Oh my gosh, it was so fun! And I learned so much! I discovered this tool called wheeled nippers. It makes breaking my plates for my mosaics so much easier! I spent all Saturday and Sunday breaking plates! Here’s the mandala I made in the class.
And here’s my work in progress! I’m halfway through now on this 4 x 4 step. I hope I finish before the rain starts!
